Vocabulario sobre la distribución en inglés: Distribution
La distribución (distribution) se refiere al movimiento de bienes y servicios desde la fuente a través de un canal de distribución hasta el cliente final / consumidor / usuario final. Esto también describe el movimiento de pago en la dirección opuesta hasta el productor original o la fuente.
El canal de distribución (distribution channel) es la ruta a través de la cual el producto viaja del vendedor al consumidor, o el pago del consumidor al vendedor.
Una red de distribución (distribution network) empieza con el productor (producer) de los productos, los distribuidores (distributors) que son los mayoristas (wholesaler) y los minoristas (retailers) antes de llegar a los clientes.
Los mayoristas (wholesalers) son aquellos que compran y venden bienes en grandes cantidades a tiendas y negocios.
Los minoristas (retailers) son personas, tiendas o negocios que venden bienes al público.

Una tienda (shop o store) es donde la gente compra cosas. También se llama punto de venta minorista (retail outlet) o punto de venta (sales outlet).

¿ Qué es una franquicia? Franchising
Hoy en día, muchos restaurantes operan a través de una franquicia (franchise) y son administrados por el franquiciado (franchisee). Los restaurantes solo venden los productos que proporciona el franquiciador (franchisor). El franquiciador organiza publicidad y ofrece ayuda y apoyo al franquiciado y, a cambio, el franquiciador se lleva un porcentaje de cada franquiciado.
Una franquicia (franchise) es el derecho de vender los productos o servicios de una empresa utilizando el nombre de la empresa.
Un franquiciado (franchisee) es alguien que recibe o compra una franquicia mientras que el franquiciador (franchisor) es alguien que vende una franquicia.

El marketing directo (direct marketing) es la actividad de comercialización de productos y servicios a través de la comunicación directa a los clientes por teléfono, correo o internet.
