Tipos de horarios en el mundo laboral en inglés
| Horas de trabajo | Significado |
| nine to five | work that begins at nine in the morning and ends at five in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday – usually office work |
| shift | a period of time, day or night, during which a group of workers do a job |
| night shift | a period in the night during which a group of people work |
| back shift | a period of work that begins in the afternoon and usually ends before 12 o’clock at night; or the people who work at this time; also known as swing shift |
| graveyard shift | a period of work that begins late at night and ends early in the morning |
| full-time job | work for a full number of hours considered standard or normal |
| part-time job | work fewer hours/day than normal |
| flexitime | work in which you can choose when to start and finish, provided you work the number of hours in your contract |
| overtime | work more than the required hours in the contract |
| permanent job | a job that doesn’t finish at a period of time |
| temporary job | a job that finishes at a period of time |
| zero-hours contract | a job involving no guaranteed hours or work for the employee but secures the employee for the company |

| administrative | relating to the work of managing or organizing a business or business activity |
| clerk | a person who works in an office, dealing with records or performing general office duties |
| executive | someone in a high position, especially in business, who makes decision and puts them into action |
| freelance | doing particular pieces of work for different organizations, rather than working all the time for a single organization |
| marzipan layer | the people who have jobs just below the highest level in a company or organization but do very important work in the company |
| office junior | a young person, who has recently left school, who works in an office doing mainly unskilled jobs |
| secretary | someone who works in an office, writing letters, making phone calls, and arranging meetings for a person or for an organization |
| self-employed | not working for an employee but finding work for yourself or having your own business |
| telecommuting | the activity of working at home, while communicating with your office by phone or email, using the internet |
| virtual assistant | someone who works as an assistant for several companies form their own home or office using the internet |
| blue-collar | workers who do work needing strength or physical skill rather than office work |
| pink-collar | works that is traditionally done by a woman |
| white-collar | relating to people who work on offices, doing work that needs mental rather than physical effort |
